Troy Starr is a Nashville recording artist. His music sits where outlaw country and gospel truth cross. Not because he planned it that way. Because that's where his life has been.

He grew up a preacher's kid, surrounded by expectations about who he should be. He never fit them. The harder he tried to walk the path laid out for him, the more it felt like he was living someone else's life.

So he went the other direction.

For more than a decade, he rode with a 1% motorcycle club, spending years inside the outlaw biker world while trying to figure out where he actually belonged. Those years gave him the stories, scars, and perspective that now show up in his music.

Most of his songs come back to the same thing: what it costs to chase acceptance, and what happens when you stop. At some point he quit trying to become what everyone expected and started leaning into who he actually was.

Fans call it Outlaw Gospel. Country storytelling rooted in faith, struggle, and redemption, from someone who's lived every word.

He's no longer chasing validation from others. He's writing songs for the underdogs, the misfits, anyone who spent their whole life realizing they were never meant to stay inside the box.
